Latest teaching guidelines in view of the de-escalation of the COVID-19 emergency situation (1 April, 2022)

On 31 March the state of emergency proclaimed over two years ago to address the COVID-19 pandemic will finally draw to a close. We sincerely hope that this will conclude the difficult chapter, during which Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore community has also faced rapid changes and several challenges. As befitting our common heritage, our students were the first to demonstrate an extraordinary ability to adapt, for which you can be rightly proud.
All the choices made in these last two years have focused on the need to safeguard teaching procedures and, at the same time, to ensure the safety of all students.
The new didactic regulations can be found in the Rector's Decree no. 8449, issued on 16 March last, relating to the final part of the 2021/2022 academic year.
Please note that lessons from Friday 1 April until the end of June 2022 will resume in person with simultaneous broadcasting as per our existing methods (live streaming with recordings available for at least 7 days).
Also, as of Friday 1 April, 2022 all written and oral exams will be held in person, with the exception of the exams scheduled for April, for which enrolments are already underway, and for which the provisions of the previous Rector's Decree remain valid.
Beyond this case, the only students permitted to take the exams remotely are those who, upon registration, can self-certify one of the following reasons:

  1. self-isolation following a positive COVID-19 test result;
  2. impossibility in accessing the campus for reasons related to the crisis in Ukraine;
  3. impossibility in accessing the campus for persons residing in Italian regions or foreign countries which are still implementing restriction of movement resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to avoid any misunderstandings, we reiterate that requests for exceptions for any other reason (e.g., no valid Green Pass, work and/or health problems not connected to COVID-19, participation in Erasmus programmes etc.) will not be accepted.
The final exams will be scheduled exclusively in person with the exception of the reasons mentioned in points a) b) and c).
May we take this opportunity to remind you that a basic Green Pass is required for entering all university buildings; further information can be found in Info Covid – 19 section which also contains all the previous information and measures implemented.
We would like to thank all our students in advance for their continued and serious commitment and we would also like to further remind to constantly check the iCatt portal and app, and to use the infoesami2022@unicatt.it email address for any clarification.
