Schools and teachers

School-university links

A fruitful and increasingly popular form of collaboration between high school and university is the direct experience of university teaching by students in the last three years of high school, either at university or at schools.

Cycles of lectures, seminars and workshops monitored by university professors/lecturers and researchers are systematically organised with a double purpose:

  • to support and enhance the educational offer of high schools with in-depth studies of a high scientific level identified and agreed upon by the teachers;
  • create opportunities for a more engaging orientation, offering young people the chance to measure themselves with the specific disciplinary content and methodologies typical of the university world; this will help to better profile their choice of the degree programme.

Participation in these courses may lead to the awarding of credits recognised for the State Examination or of ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), which may be recognised for subsequent enrolment in a programme at Università Cattolica.

Themes, development and testing methods are decided in agreement with the school.
