The traineeship is carried out under the guidance of clinical and didactic supervisors, coordinated by the Director of Professional Training and Educational Activities, who take responsibility for facilitating and optimising the learning process. In the course of the traineeship, the student is immersed in a working environment characterised by a variety of situations in which s/he has the opportunity to test his/her professional skills with progressive assumption of responsibility.
At the end of each academic year, a committee chaired by the Director of Professional Training and Educational Activities and professional and clinical supervisors assesses and certifies the professional learning achieved by the student through the traineeship examination. This assessment is comprehensive and includes:
- data on the student's traineeship, as shown in the assessment forms completed by the supervisor(s) in charge of the student;
- written papers and/or care plans on clinical cases;
- the traineeship examination, which consists of a practical test with simulation of care settings in the obstetric, gynaecological and neonatal area to assess the clinical skills and technical-professional abilities acquired by the student.
