Objectives

The following competences, knowledge and skills are specific training objectives of the Graduate programme in Financial Markets and Institutions, which belongs to the Class LM-77, Business Financial Markets and Institutions:

  • a thorough knowledge in the areas of business Financial Markets and Istitutions, finance, financial intermediation and its legal discipline (with particular attention to the structure of securities markets), mathematical and statistical sciences applied to the interpretation of economic and financial phenomena, micro- and macroFinancial Markets and Istitutions;
  • advanced training, also through comparison with foreign experiences in the field of business Financial Markets and Istitutions and financial communication; in the field of financial intermediation and markets; in the field of macroFinancial Markets and Istitutions and microFinancial Markets and Istitutions of financial markets; in the field of corporate finance and the legal and institutional aspects of financial markets, intermediaries and listed companies;
  • in-depth expertise for communication and information management, also by means of computer and telematic tools and methods.

Since the a.y. 2018/2019 the School has signed an agreement with the Ordine dei Dottori Commerciale e degli Esperti contabili (Association of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts) of Milan aimed at guaranteeing training for access to the profession of chartered accountant, with exemption from the first test of the State examination for access to the professional register and the carrying out of the traineeship in conjunction with the training programme.
Following this agreement, the profile 'Finance - Corporate advisory' was activated, which aims to train professionals who know how to combine a deep knowledge of financial markets, company evaluation and risk measurement with reference to management and legal aspects, with the specific skills of the chartered accountant.
The School has entered into an agreement with the Italian Association of Financial Analysts and Consultants (AIAF), which allows graduates with a Graduate degree in Financial Markets And Institutions to be admitted free of charge for the first year and with a reduced fee for the following three years, as AIAF Full Members.
For the purposes of the CIIA® (Certified International Investment Analyst) International Diploma, this agreement will allow exemption from the Foundation examination and direct access to the Final examination, at a reduced
cost.
In addition, the graduate programme in Banking and Finance has been accredited by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA), which means that the programme is part of the accreditation programme for universities that offer courses of study that meet certain quality requirements in the area of investment management. In connection with its international diploma, CFA will provide 7 scholarships that will allow you to be admitted free of charge to the CFA Programme and to benefit from a reduction in examination fees.
