The profile in Preservation of Historical Memories prepares professionals working in the field of archival and librarian heritage in the various sectors dedicated to the study, preservation and enhancement of documentary and book heritage in both the public and private sectors. The profile provides knowledge and skills in the fields of archiving, librarianship and conservation and valorisation of historical memories in general, from ancient to contemporary times, with reference also to the different study methodologies. Examples of professional outlets are operators in organisations, companies or foundations in the archive and book sector; operators in sector publishing and advertising companies; author of texts; cultural mediator; operators in companies cataloguing cultural assets. The degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences allows direct access to the graduate degree programme in Archaeology and Art History (LM-1 and 89). With appropriate selections in the study plan, to the graduate degree programme in Modern Philology (LM-14); it provides qualifications and curricular requirements for admission to the graduate degree programme in Economics and Management of Cultural and Performing Arts (LM-76) (admission subject to passing an admission test).

The profile in Theatre, Cinema, Video and Rituals prepares professional figures working in the field of performing arts and new multimedia languages with particular reference to their preservation and enhancement in the different sectors of theatre, cinema and performing arts institutions, both in the public and private sector. The profile enables the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the fields of the history of theatre, cinema and other performative arts, from ancient to contemporary times, with reference also to the different methodologies of study, preservation and valorisation. Examples of professional outlets are operators in the theatre, television, film and multimedia sectors in organisations, companies or foundations; operators in archives, photo archives and film archives; operators in the production of events, festivals and performances; operators in publishing and advertising companies in the sector; authors of texts; cultural mediators. The degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences allows direct access to the graduate degree programme in Archaeology and History of Art (LM-1 and 89) and, with appropriate options in the study plan, to the graduate degree programme in Modern Philology (LM-14); it provides qualifications and curricular requirements necessary for admission to the graduate degree programme in Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage and Performing Arts (LM-76) (admission subject to passing an admission test) and the graduate degree programme in Communication for Business, Media and Complex Organisations (LM-19/LM-59) (admission subject to the availability of places, which are allocated according to a merit list)

The Historical and Artistic profile prepares professionals working in the field of artistic and monumental heritage in the various sectors of museology, collecting, event organisation, art market, artist’s archive, publishing and other forms of cultural enhancement and mediation, both in the public and private sector. The profile enables the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the fields of art history from the Middle Ages to the present day and in the field of related methodologies and different critical approaches, with reference also to the themes of protection, conservation, management and enhancement of the artistic heritage, monuments and the territory. Examples of professional outlets are operators in museums, institutions and companies for exhibitions and cultural events; operators in cooperatives or companies for cataloguing and information management of the artistic heritage; operators in companies with publishing and communication activities; operators in art galleries, foundations, archives, photo archives and auction houses; operators in cultural tourism and guided tour companies. A degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences gives direct access to the graduate degree programme course in Archaeology and History of Art (LM-1 and 89), which in turn gives access to the Schools of Specialisation in Archaeological Heritage (with LM-1) or in Historical and Artistic Heritage (with LM-89), both of which are run by Università Cattolica and are necessary for competitions for Superintendency posts. With appropriate selections to the study plan, the degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences also allows access to the graduate degree programme in Modern Philology (LM-14) and provides the qualification and curricular requirements necessary for admission to the graduate degree programme in Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage and Performing Arts (LM-76) ( admission subject to passing an admission test).

The profile in Archaeology prepares professional figures working in the field of archaeology and numismatics in the various fields of excavations, preventive archaeology, museums, events, publishing and other forms of cultural enhancement and mediation, both in the public and private sector. The profile enables the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the fields of ancient and medieval cultures and societies and in the field of the related methodologies of analysis (excavations, surveys, scientific investigations), with reference also to the problems of protection, conservation and management of the archaeological heritage. Examples of professional outlets are operator in archaeological parks and museums, operator in cooperatives or excavation and surveying companies, operator in prevention archaeology companies, operator in publishing and communication companies. A degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences allows immediate access to the graduate degree programme course in Archaeology and History of Art (LM-1 and 89), which in turn allows access to the School of Specialisation in Archaeological Heritage (with LM-1) or in Historical and Artistic Heritage (with LM-89), both of which are offered by Università Cattolica and are necessary for competitions for Superintendency posts.
