The graduate programmes in Classics aims to provide students with the skills, methods and tools for a thorough preparation in the various fields relating to the ancient world, on the basis of a rigorous and indispensable knowledge of classical languages and a solid preparation in the philological-literary, historical, archaeological, linguistic and religious fields.

By the end of the course of study, graduate students will possess a solid knowledge of the various sectors of the Classics, based on sound linguistic skills in Greek and Latin, and will be able to apply these in an original way to the sector of his/her specific interest, for which he/she will possess instruments, methods of investigation and extensive and up-to-date knowledge
