Università Cattolica has been selected as an Official Partner of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), the European Commission’s initiative calling for imagining and creating new ways of living based on three dimensions: Beautiful, Inclusive, Sustainable.
Università Cattolica has become Official Partner of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), a creative and interdisciplinary initiative of the European Commission, that aims to create “a European renovation wave” stemming from three pillars: Beautiful, Inclusive, Sustainable.
Launched by Ursula von der Leyen, the EU Commission President, the New European Bauhaus bridges the Green Deal to a cultural dimension and a human centered experience. NEB approach is based on a participative and interdisciplinary co-creation process which involves European institutions, enterprises and organizations at the crossroads between art, culture, science and technology.

Università Cattolica's Project for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) stems from UCSC's founding values, and aims to build a "Community Aesthetics" through contemporary expressive languages as media and visual arts, capable of making "Beautiful" and fruitful the encounter between the diversities of the Plural Identity of Urban Citizenship on the major themes proposed by NEB.
The Project aims to investigate concretely how to organize the encounter between the diversities of the Plural Identity, through a process of Public Engagement which strengthens the generativity, cohesion and connectivity of the Community.

From 9 to 12 June 2022 the first NEB Festival was promoted by the European Commission in Brussels and throughout Europe to celebrate one year of New European Bauhaus projects.
