Degree classes LM-87 (Social services and policies)

The course offers multi-disciplinary knowledge and technical-scientific competences for various professional figures (social workers, sociologists, professional educators) who work or want to work in various capacities in local social, socio-medical and socioeducational services, as well as in residential facilities. Graduates will be able to work with a high degree of autonomy not only in public and/or third sector organisations, but also in the liberal professions or in any case in an entrepreneurial perspective, exercising in particular skills of evaluation, coordination, supervision and training. The graduate programme in Social Work and Social Services for Families, Child Protection and Local Communities allows access to second-level University specialising Master’s and PhD programmes. It also allows those who hold a degree in social work (class L-39) to sit the State examinations for qualification as a specialist social worker (Section A of the professional register). For students coming from other degree programmes who are interested in working as a social worker, it is possible, subject to an assessment of their previous career, to take supplementary courses for the undergraduate degree after their graduate programme degree.
