The training offered by the various pathways is intended to provide the essential tools both for the pursuit of scientific research in the philosophical field and for access, in accordance with the provisions of the law in force, to the subsequent levels of training required to obtain the qualification for secondary teaching. It is also intended to serve professional purposes, relating to professional fields in which specific disciplinary competences are required together with critical capacity and ability to represent knowledge and plan decision-making processes. Relevant sectors include publishing, scientific and philosophical communication, cultural promotion, library and museum management, and printing; moreover, graduates will be able to manage training courses in public and private bodies, take care of high-level public relations, participate as an expert in centres and committees on bioethics, public health and ethics, and political and financial analysis. The skills and competences acquired also enable the management of complex situations in professional fields involving personnel management, organisation and communication of research, design and implementation of national and European projects with a strong ethical and anthropological component. Critical thinking, argumentative and expository skills, and knowledge of cultural and scientific dynamics enable graduates to compete for positions of responsibility in national and international organisations.
