The recommended profile in Information Media prepares the student for the professions related to the world of communication and information, the strategic analysis of communication and the design, management and evaluation of communication processes in complex organisational contexts. The subjects are intended to provide skills in traditional and digital media, with a special focus on the cultural aspects of the information profession and journalistic practice. Examples of such professions are all roles involved in the management of communication processes within and outside organisations (press office, house organ, support and coordination of internal relations) and communication agencies (media analysis, social network management, data research, organisation of transmedia communication campaigns, digital content management) and all editorial and journalistic functions, also in the audiovisual and digital sector. University specialising masters recognised by the National Order of Journalists are training courses oriented towards the profession of journalism, such as in particular the Master - School of Print, Broadcast and Multimedia Journalism organised by the Graduate School
of Media, Communications and Performing Arts (ALMED) of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
 

The recommended profile in Cinema and Audiovisual products prepares professionals working in the field of production and promotion, management and analysis of all forms of audiovisual products, including content for new media platforms. It aims at developing, also thanks to a background of historical and theoretical knowledge, the ability to evaluate, manage and promote audiovisual products in their various formats. Examples of these professions are all those involved in audiovisual production, the organisation of radio and television industries, market research and analysis, critical and popular writing in and for the media.


The recommended profile in Events and Live Communication is aimed at professionals working in the field of conception, production and promotion of the performing arts, with particular reference to organisations and companies in the theatre sector, agencies organising cultural and business events, public and private associations promoting projects in the educational and social field. The skills and competences relating to the languages and forms of expression of the performing arts, dramaturgy and direction, live communication, image promotion and event management are particularly strengthened in this profile. Examples of professional outlets are collaborator in the artistic direction of theatrical institutions; production and distribution of live performances;
responsible for the organisation and production of events, festivals and artistic events; critic, publicist and operator in the publishing sector.


The recommended profile in Advertising prepares the student for professions related to analysis and evaluation, conception and production, management and organisation in advertising communication. Particular emphasis is placed here on strategic analysis and product marketing skills. Examples of such professions are productive roles in advertising communication (concept and campaign design; writing of subjects, storyboards, etc.), roles involved in the management of internal and external communication processes in organisations (press office, house organ), research activities and studies in the field of advertising communication and marketing.
