The course of study aims at providing a critical awareness of the dynamics arising from the intersection of the four main areas ("regulatory and institutional environment", "economicfinancial disciplines", "linguistic disciplines and cultural competences" and "institutional communication and argumentative strategies in context"), integrating them with each other in a new and constructive way. Through an adequate knowledge of the relations between European institutions and financial intermediaries as well as contextually appropriate argumentation procedures, new processes and procedures can be proposed, which are able to take into account intercultural contexts, differences in common ground, and the different level ofspecialisation of stakeholders in dealing with financial issues, for example in institutional communication to EU citizens.
The main areas of professional employment are: institutional communication and relations with third parties and the market at European institutions or large private companies; support for the activities of institutional investors (proxy advisor and investor engagement); management and control functions at public or private organisations in the banking and financial sector.
