Graduates in Educational Counselling for Disabled and Marginal People will be able to intervene directly in educational and social contexts where their pedagogical competence will guide and coordinate the educational and rehabilitation process of people who are experiencing very difficult personal and socio-affective situations.
Students will be called upon to work in educational agencies, in public and private structures dealing, from childhood to adulthood, with people with profound specific needs. In particular, they will be able to take on very qualified roles in consultancy, supervision, training, coordination, planning in the following areas:

  • socio-health area:hospitals and rehabilitation centres, paediatric wards, child neuropsychiatry services, health education projects where foreseen;
  • socio-educational and socio-assistance area: socio-educational centres, day care centres, day occupation centres, day nurseries, work cooperatives for people with disabilities, church centres, play libraries, youth centres, advice centres, family centres, family support services, family mediation services, residential communities for people with disabilities, residential communities for minors, services for foreign minors, street operator services, socio-cultural services, socio-educational services of local authorities, services for the protection of children's rights, voluntary services and social cooperatives; rehabilitation centres for drug addicts; educational services in prisons; targeted employment services for people with disabilities or problems;
  • school area: consultancy services and provincial pedagogical services, special pedagogical coordination in kindergartens, special intervention projects for people with disabilities, projects for the prevention of discomfort, school drop-outs, bullying, guidance services, after-school services and extracurricular educational activities, vocational training centres;
  • legal area: fostering, adoption, situationsof child abuse, juvenile crime, new dependencies.
